Here at Auchi HQ, the team were as upset as you guys about the postponing of the 2012 convention. Thankfully, we’ve put our woes to one side and will be hosting a few mini-events throughout the next year!
We are excited to announce our first mini-event of the year – a party night at The Flying Duck, Glasgow! The theme for the party is a Matsuri festival, complete with performances, DJs, competitions and games! The event will run onFriday the 27th of July 2012 - more information to follow.
A full line up for the event will be posted soon but for now we are delighted to announce our DJs! Bryoz, resident committee member will be setting the mood with an upbeat selection of anime and J-music tracks. DJ Shenny of Cosplay Clubnight will be making a special guest appearance following his recent Kitacon and London Expo outings, while Pyriel will be joining us on loan from Glasgow’s own Nanashi Dansu. They will tantalise your eardrums, playing a variety of tunes from J-pop and J-rock to Anime favourites throughout the night!
In addition to this we are happy to welcome LittleRecordGirl, who will be performing a set of anime and game covers including songs from the Cowboy Bebop soundtrack amongst others.
Photographers will be on hand throughout the night, so make sure you dress to impress! Cosplay is welcomed and encouraged but furthermore, those dressing up will receive a discounted ticket price when buying tickets at the door!
Places will be limited to first come first served so to avoid being disappointed you can pre-book your entry online soon.
